The Rise of The Fallen
Creel an Morgan
The Creel an Morgan is a large island off the northern coast of Alrahon. Home to the Throda Mac Morgan. The name comes from an ancient story among the Throda about how their mighty hero Morgan MacCwellen trapped a mighty lobster that became the land.
The Creel is divided into three parts—The Highlands, The Lowlands, and The Backlands. The population of the Creel consists primarily of humans and dwarves, though orcs, halflings, and gnomes make up significant minorities among the Throdan tribes.
The Throda have raiding culture and are generally thought of as crude and violent barbarians. As the Kelsenon Empire expanded into The Heartlands they encountered the Throda lands more and more frequently. The two cultures clashed regularly, until the great Imperial general Kaiser Argius I conquered The Borderlands and attempted to imperialize the Trhoda. The insular Creel continued to raid the imperialized borderlands, and though several attempts to conquer Creel were launched by successive emperors, none succeeded. The Creel was occupied by Imperial forces at the start of The Imperial Civil War but never completely passified, and the Creel was the first nation to rise up in rebellion during The Borderlands Crisis, winning it’s independence from Kelsenon when the Witch Lord’s army invaded. The Creel remained independant after Rogar MacCwellen defeated the Witch Lord, and was one of the first of the Young Kingdoms to be recognized as a sovereign nation.
